QUALIFY
Qualifying represented just how close the competition was, with less than 3 tenths separating the top 5 spots.
RACE 1
Jason Brooks, whilst qualifying 2nd to Francarlo Rizzo, favoured his inside starting spot to take the lead on the first corner. The first race was defined by testing how the tyres would perform for the rest of the night. Francarlo managed his rubber best to finish on top.
RACE 2
Race two featured the Queensland boys bangin' bumpers, and an opportunity presented itself to Shane Van Gilfeather for a win. However, Jason picked his gaps perfectly through the reverse grid to take a race win and tie Francarlo in round points.Unfortunately Andy Lardner blew his tyres on the last corner of the last lap.
RACE 3
The 40 lap feature also saw plenty of two-wide action and contact throughout the field. The final few laps placed Jeremy Pernesz and Francarlo in a duel, until both arrived too hot into the sweeper and into the gravel. Apparently an unknown driver had knocked over the brake markers on the previous lap! Francarlo won the scramble back onto the circuit and took the race win, making it two-a-piece against Jason in the overall championship.
