EMPLOYMENT: Sydney Store seeks Assistant Manager

RACECENTRE'S SYDNEY STORE needs HANDS-ON ASSISTANT MANAGER. Enthusiastic, friendly, love motorsport, great sales skills and can lead by example... sound like you? Then check this out!

Racecentre operates Australia’s Most Advanced Racing Simulation Centres. We provide dynamic racing experiences for individuals and groups. Our customers include motorsport fans, corporate groups and the public who come to participate in the most realistic racing experience possible. Our race car simulators are the most advanced in Australia, with full-motion, surround sound and 3 HD surround screen monitors inbuilt within the simulator – making the race session truly absorbing and immersive. Needless to say, this is an awesome place to work!

Our new Sydney store now needs an Assistant Store Manager to help run the store alongside the Manager. The role is very autonomous, and you will be working by yourself most of the time. A substantial amount of trust will be placed in you to help manage the store efficiently... so ideally you will be have previous experience in team leadership or assistant management. We would be willing to train the right person though! 

Key Objectives include:

1. Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the store to ensure continued growth and profitability.
2. Help to gain new business for Racecentre by promoting to our 4 key markets – visitors, locals, motorsport fans, corporate customers.
3. Suggest, initiate and implement changes to improve the business.
4. Update the Directors on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues;
5. Assist in the analysis of store reports, sales figures and budgets with the Directors.
6. Assist in managing the Sales Team to increase sales.
7. Ensure the Sales Team maintain excellent levels of customer service. 
8. Ensure the Sales Team comply with Company policies and procedures.
9. Develop and implement special in-store promotions, displays and events.
10. Ensure high standards of store presentation and cleanliness.
11. Manage stock levels and control.
12. Maintain security controls – cash, keys, alarms and stock.

In order to be successful in this role:

a. You must be very enthusiastic 
b. You must be driven to succeed and self-motivated 
c. You must have excellent sales skills and be very friendly 
d. Be confident to operate the facility autonomously. 
e. You should have excellent attention to detail. The role is not difficult – but we expect you follow procedures accurately.
f. Be able to manage multiple tasks at the same time when busy. 
g. Must be ready to manage the business as if it were your own
h. … and of course, you MUST be passionate about motorsport. Knowledge of F1, V8 championships strongly desired. Please do not apply if you don’t LOVE these sports.
