The Race:

The Green flag dropped and Brad Ryan got off to a flyer with what looked like a jump start and lead the field into turn 1 ahead of Justin Ruggier and George Maris. The latter pair race was soon to change as George gave Justin a slight tap under the direction change through the esses. This saw them both on the grass and fighting to stay in the race rejoining the field at the back of the pack. Brad Ryan maintaining the lead with Mitchell Abrahall hot on his heals. Keen to see some clear air Mitchell soon took the lead on Lap 3 and was making the most of Justin and George's altercation. With Mitchell dominating at the front this left for some great racing back in the field. Corey Henger and Brad Ryan going side by side through the final chicane sure made for some great viewing. Brad would soon find himself run wide coming onto the main straight and fighting to regain control of the Ford coupe swerving left to right just scraping the wall. Brad unfortunately retired soon after with a faulty brake pedal on L14.

Some mid pack tussles was had between Miles Burden & Craig Dore until Craig spun. Corey and Daniel McKernan in the XSG entries also swapping positions for over 18 laps.Rhys Gardiner was showing good form until he hit the wall and retired on L16.

All eyes were on Justin and George cutting back through the pack making sure Mitchell doesn't gain too much of a lead. At the mid way point all Mitchell could see in his mirrors was George's front grill. Mitchell doing well to hold him off for a few laps finally succumbed to the pressure and handed George the lead. Mitchell didn't give up easy but George's pace was too good. Seeing George and Mitchell battling up front gave Justin the chance to catch up to the pair to make it a 3 way battle for the lead. George's off-track gave Justin the lead until the white flag where Justin ran wide on Turn 1 giving George some gentlemanly room on the inside. This would cost him the race as George crossed the checkered with the well deserved win.

Micheal Manley would have to take out the bravery award as he came into the race with an injury sustained from being kicked in the leg from a cow. He found himself up into P4 before he over cooked it coming out of the esses and hitting the wall. Great effort Michael, we will see you next week.
A very special mention to Rookie Rob Thomae showing great talent to finish the race in 6th just ahead of Racecentr'e miles Burden. With zero incidents i'm sure its not the last we are going to hear of Rob. Well Done.
